Five Lesser Known Caribbean Resorts You Need To Add To Your Client’s Bucket List

With its many islands,

the Caribbean has much to offer and explore. Each island boasts several (sometimes many)hotels and luxury resorts. How then do you pick the best ones to add to your client’s travel list? We got you covered. Here’s a concise list of five Caribbean resorts you need to add to your bucket list for a niche and luxury Caribbean experience. These resorts are well hidden from the masses and attract only discerning travelers looking for a unique experience.

Ladera Resort, Saint Lucia
Ladera Resort is one of the most luxurious resorts I have stepped foot into in the Caribbean. Located between two pitons of the island, Ladera boasts a luxurious room with a private pool and no fourth wall/window. The room opens in the air, birds enter the room chirping and you spot rainbows while swimming in your pool. It’s an experience like no other. Ladera Resort also has some great treks in house from where you can see the pitons, a dedicated space where local artisans make crafts and a rum room where you can experience unique rums made on the island. Beyond that, you can also enjoy farm fresh food at their restaurant Dashene which is prepared by the local chef Nigel. Personally, I also liked Ladera’s excursions around the city center and to the local Sugar beach. Every room at Ladera also comes with a private butler for that extra added privacy and personal touch.

Rosalie Bay, Dominica
Rosalie Bay is a wellness resort with a dedicated turtle conservation center located in the heart of Dominica. It’s not towards the Caribbean side of the island carrying cruise crowds and loud party tourists, it’s towards the quieter side of the island. Rosalie Bay has a dedicated spa area with a herb garden for sourcing fresh herbs to boost vitality and target specific health issues wellness seekers might have. The spa also runs a DIY program where travelers learn to make their own face masks and wellness products. The spa therapist also knows oracle reading and does a tea leaf reading session as well. Overall, the property is a great experience for wellness seekers from across the world. While their rooms are simple, they overlook the ocean and waves. The turtle hatching at the property is a great way to understand nature and humanity’s coexistence. Not too far from the property is a rum distillery. The visit makes for an interesting intellectual segway into the world of rum.

Little Arches Boutique Hotel, Barbados
Little Arches is an adults only hotel located in Barbados. Each room has a private balcony overlooking the Caribbean and the rooms reflect the tropical charm of the destination. They also have a plunge pool, unique spa therapies and are located at a stone’s throwaway from the Oistin’s fish market. While you’re here, don’t miss an opportunity to explore the Chukka Adventure to Harrison’s cave and go beach hopping in Barbados. Little Arches also has a restaurant called Cafe Luna which is run and operated externally. However, it promises delicious food and a great time.

Six Senses La Sagesse, Grenada
Living up to its name, Six Senses La Sagesse Grenada promises a soulful and relaxing experience in the Caribbean. The property has sprawling rooms, is family friendly and is located between the ocean and a cove. There are various activities from snorkeling, scuba diving, exploring hidden waterfalls and more. The dining experience is great just like every other Six Senses property across the world. You can also engage in a sunset sail, explore cacao treasures and experience the best of Grenada. While every Carribean island has a lot to offer, Grenada is one of the lesser explored ones and tends to be more quiet. The spa at Six Senses La Sagesse also has some great therapies and treatments which you can explore to have a relaxing time.

Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski, Havana
Havana is one of the more recently popping destinations in the Caribbean offering great street culture, music, heritage, 1960’s vibes and a whole lot of tradition. Havana has made it to almost every traveler’s bucket list in the Caribbean. The Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski is located in the heart of Havana and offers stunning views into the street culture of Havana and the lives of locals. With multiple dining options, it’s a great experience for travelers looking to relax. Most hotels in Havana are short on food supplies due to the political situation of the country, however owing up to its name, Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski offers a wonderful experience to everyone. It should be on every travelers bucket list.

The Caribbean has many more islands and boasts a lot to offer. Luxury, dining, oceans, rich scuba diving, coral reefs, beach hopping and much more. While you need to carefully handpick your Caribbean islands, this guide has created a concise list of all the ones you must visit to have the most luxurious experience you truly deserve on a holiday.
