5-Star Princess Hotels & Resorts Re-Opens in Jamaica

There’s a distinct moment when you realize you have decoupled

from the noise and bustle of everyday life and can hear the ocean, the palm fronds swaying in the wind and birdsong. This moment happens at Princess Hotels & Resorts, nestled along the tranquil shores of Green Island between Montego Bay and Negril, in Jamaica. Here, two beachfront sister properties invite guests to experience world class luxury amid nature’s beauty.

After debuting November 2024 the resorts temporarily closed after the hurricane in October 2025 and reopened this March with a reimagined glam redo. Designed for two distinct travel experiences—one for adults seeking sublime serenity, the other offering a fantastic family retreat – both redefine all-inclusive luxury in the Caribbean. princess-hotels.com/en

Princess Senses the Mangrove
The 5 star Adults only Mangrove/Senses Resort with 415 sophisticated ocean-view suites and striking over-water villas, provides a stunning sanctuary for couples, friends, singles or anyone- seeking to relax in style in a tropical oasis. Elevating the experience, The Platinum Club suites offer upgraded amenities, private beach area, exclusive beach club, premium drinks, and your personalized butler who does everything from unpacking your bags, securing reservations at restaurants, planning daily activities – to make your stay seamless. The Platinum Club is designed for travelers seeking pampering, exclusivity and refined luxury.

Ocean View Suites
Fashionable suite interiors are done in hues of cream, beige and turquoise. Light and airy, accommodations feature supremely comfortable beds and stand-alone tubs that call out for soaks. The posh swim out suites feature out door areas with loungers, daybeds and a hydro-massage hot tub and offer a standout experience of indoor and outdoor living spaces. I especially liked taking a dip in the water by my deck, then swimming out to the winding pool and returning to the solace of my cushy private refuge.

Floating in Luxury
Stylish over-water villas are havens of barefoot luxury with private bedrooms, glass floor panels for underwater marine life views, free standing tubs and large furnished decks with infinity pools perfect for panoramic vistas and beautiful sunsets. Additionally, guests have access to the Platinum Club and all the perks.

The Setting
Sitting on the powdery white sand beach fronting the shimmering turquoise sea sure felt like paradise to me. Platinum guests enjoy reserved cabanas and various pools including a rooftop infinity pool with exclusive bar. Did I mention there’s a small private island for celebrations and weddings? The resort is so spacious, no matter the number of guests; it always felt private and delightfully un-crowded. And the warm friendly people at the resort add to the allure.

Elevated Dining
Guests savor a culinary journey with elevated dining options in an array of stylish restaurants serving diverse cuisine. These include The Pearl (Seafood), Robert’s Flame Steakhouse, IL Palazzo (Italian), Jamrock (Jamaican), Umami (Sushi), and KA Teppanyaki ,( Japanese Grilled Dishes ) where the talented chef is also a master showman delighting diners with his fiery performance. The Breakfast Buffet at the Platinum Club and Food Market is impressive and the 24-hour Blue Mountain coffee shop is the place to get excellent lattes and gelato. Ah, the Floating Breakfast served in your pool with tropical fruits, scrumptious pastries, artisanal breads, hot dishes cooked to order, fresh juices and champagne with stunning sea views is a lovely way to start the day.

And the drinks at the resort deserve high praise. In addition to fine wine and top shelf options, the crafted cocktails are excellent with no shortage of bars and lounges to indulge.

Spa
The 19,000-square-foot Spa Princess is a temple of healing with rooftop hydrotherapy circuit, rejuvenating hot and cold plunge, sauna and a full menu of pampering treatments such as massages, facials and body therapies offering sublime relaxation and pure Jamaican bliss. My Swedish massage was simply superb.

Activities/Entertainment
The resort has a state of the art gym, sports courts, yoga and aqua classes and water sports including paddleboard and kayaking. The Tropical Tours Desk arranged my fantastic snorkeling excursion at close by Don Fresh in a covered glass bottom boat with Captain Howard and snorkel guide extraordinaire Carl, where I beheld a dazzling underwater kingdom of gorgeous coral and multi colored fish in every shape and size. Nightly entertainment venues include the atmospheric Blue Note Piano Bar, O’Club’s various offerings, Illusion Night Club & Terrace and the MVP Sports Bar replete with musical trio.

For those seeking an exclusive tropical escape offering utter relaxation and indulgence, Princess Senses the Mangrove calls you.
