After traveling on this first ever flight from Dallas to Fiji, I can attest to Fiji Airways’ impressive service in Business Class. The seats were indeed spacious and extremely comfortable and very easy to adjust. The entertainment viewing screen was large with excellent sound quality. My dinner of grilled prawns with pineapple salsa and spiced coconut, Signature Fijian Chicken, cassava croquettes, broccolini, grilled pepper with the signature desert of pineapple and mango sorbet, diced mango, Chantilly cream and mint – was impressive. It was easy to drift off to dreamland with the generous lie flat seat and comfy covers. Not to mention the fine Pinot Noir New Zealand wine.
And the entire Fijian crew was so nice, helpful, friendly, smiling and sweet – it was such a pleasure to be on board. We were welcomed to “The Land of Happiness” by Mr. Filipo Tarakinikini, Ambassador /Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Permanent Resident To Fiji and Mr. Ilisoni C. Vuidreketi, Embassador of Fiji who both cut the cake celebrating the inaugural Dallas to Fiji Flight. Mr. Tarakinikini spoke about Fiji Airline’s plans for expansion and the anticipation that this new direct service would increase travelers to Fiji and beyond. He also mentioned that Fiji Tourism will be opening an office in New York City.
Dallas Fort Worth marks Fiji Airways’ 24th international nonstop route and will be the fifth North American destination serviced by the airline, along with Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu and Vancouver.
