Brightline
When you think of high-speed rail Europe likely comes to mind. Maybe Amtrak’s Acela train?

Florida’s answer to high-speed rail – Brightline – has been running high-since 2018.
Service began on Florida’s east coast between West Palm Beach station and Fort Lauderdale. Later that year, service was added from Miami to Fort Lauderdale. In 2023, trains began running between Miami and Orlando. Next, Brightline will add a station in Tampa on Florida’s west coast.
High Speed Rail
For now, travelers can experience the train at a maximum speed of 79 miles per hour in South Florida – from Miami north to West Palm Beach – and a maximum speed of 125 miles per hour between West Palm Beach and Orlando. The distance between Miami and Orlando is approximately 235 miles, and takes approximately three hours via Brightline.
If you arrive at Miami International Airport, for example, you can reach the Miami Central Station where Brightline trains stop. Brightline offers shuttle service to and from the airport to the train. Ride the shuttle from the train station to the airport for $10 for the first guest and $5 for each additional rider in the same party.
What this means is you can ride the train, for example, from Miami to Disney World in Orlando or not far from the historic and renowned Breakers or the Flagler Museum in Palm Beach. Alternatively, you can ride the train from Miami to Aventura, and on to Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, or West Palm Beach.
