Turkish Airlines News and Business Class For Less

Turkish Airlines is widely recognized for its extensive network of international flights from the U.S.

The carrier was recently named by Guinness World Records as the airline that flies to the most countries – 130 in all. If Turkey is not your final destination, the airline provides service from its huge hub in Istanbul to just about anywhere in the world. Some of these popular destinations for U.S. travelers include: Athens, Cairo, Bangkok, Berlin, Dubai, London, Milan, Eastern Europe, Mumbai and Delhi, among others.

Award Wining Business Class
The award-winning carrier is renowned for its great-value business-class where travelers receive warm Turkish hospitality, seamless service and top amenities, paying way less for Business Class than competitive carriers. Just this June, Turkish Airlines was named best business class in Europe by Skytrax and best on-board catering in business-class worldwide for several years in a row. It’s not surprising given my impressive dining experience during my recent overnight flight to Istanbul, in Business Class.

Turkish Airlines has ‘Flying Chefs” in the kitchen of every business cabin on overseas flights to prepare and serve food to business class guests. They truly deliver Fine Dining In The Sky. My gastronomic journey started with a trolley of meze including smoked salmon, Turkish style eggplant, fish roe, prawn salad, marinated artichokes, fresh olives and cheeses from around Turkey – with bread made from wheat grown in Anatolia, the origin of humanity’s oldest bread that extends back 12,000 years. This was followed by lentil soup, then melt in your mouth lamb and Mediterranean vegetables (not the bland, salty, dried out food served on other carriers ) paired with excellent wine – champagne, aperitives, cocktails, fresh juices, and mocktails available. The dessert trolley was rich with traditional Turkish sweets including luscious baklava, Turkish ice cream, chocolates, figs, apricots, nuts and more. In addition to being delicious, my gourmet feast was a great immersion into the culture. Additionally, Business fliers can choose the time they want dinner and breakfast. For flights longer than 8 hours, passengers can enjoy their meal by candlelight.

The front of the plane makes a big difference on long flights where you can get a goodnight’s sleep and arrive at your destination well rested and ready to go. Spacious seats turn into comfy lie flat beds. The carrier’s deluxe sleep set includes a soft quilt and sleeping pad with special orthopedic base containing a generous inner filling for extra comfort and that made a difference.
There’s More! Business Class passengers will now receive the new bespoke elegant Lanvin amenity travel kit, designed with sustainability as a multi use accessory. These fashionable products feature limited-edition cosmetic products and other selected contents for comfort in-flight with handsome brown, black, tan and cream options.

Additional perks in-flight include free WIFI, an excellent entertainment system and Denon noise canceling headphones. On the ground, business guests enjoy fast track service with expedited security and passport control at Istanbul airport, as well as a separate business-class and elite check-in area.

The Lounge In Istanbul
The Turkish Airlines flagship lounge at the new Istanbul Airport, designed to be an oasis of relaxation with passenger comfort a top priority, is one of the world’s largest airport lounges. There are dining areas and buffets galore highlighting Turkish and international dishes including the coveted stuffed pide bread, fresh juice offerings, fine wines and spirits, a coffee station and tea garden with plenty of sweet Turkish delights, nap and work spaces, multimedia area with televisions, piano player, golf simulator to practice your swing, a business center, private shower suites and my favorite – complimentary massages.

Exciting New Business Class Suites
With consistently high marks from fliers in Business Class, Turkish Airlines continues its innovative spirit while providing guests with a high-quality travel experience and is rolling out new business-class seats. These stylish ‘Crystal’ suites will have closing doors for privacy, a staggered 1-2-1 layout, ensuring every passenger has direct aisle access and honeymoon suites that are physically next to each other once the divider is removed, similar to what people love about Qatar Airways’ Qsuite. Other updated amenities will include wireless charging ports in each suite, 22-inch IFE screens, marble table tops and rose gold finishes.
