VIVA is Bringing the VIVA Boutique Concept to Italy in 2027

VIVA Cruises is expanding its boutique horizons with the announcement of VIVA UNIQUE –

the second ship in its premium VIVA Boutique collection, following the highly anticipated launch of VIVA BEYOND in 2026. With a focus on curated experiences that celebrate Italy’s rich cultural and culinary legacy, VIVA UNIQUE promises to deliver a fresh, boutique-style approach to river cruising that’s upscale, deeply experiential, and designed to captivate a new generation of travelers.

The ship’s themed itineraries, centered on culinary exploration, art, and culture & lifestyle, invite guests to uncover the authentic spirit of Italy with access to hidden gems and lesser-traveled ports of call. From the vibrant lagoon islands of Mazzorbo and Burano, to the historic heart of Chioggia, to the scenic countryside surrounding Polesella, each journey offers a rich mix of discovery, indulgence, and modern comfort. Optional excursions to cultural treasures like Murano, Torcello, Verona, and Bologna round out the experience along with ample time to explore Venice at leisure, and itineraries featuring Cremona and nearby Mantua, known for its storied architecture and musical heritage.

This latest addition marks a deeply personal milestone for VIVA Cruises CEO, Andrea Kruse, whose passion for Italy has inspired this elegant new offering. “Italy has always held a special place in my heart,” said Andrea. “With VIVA UNIQUE, we’re not just launching a ship – we’re creating a floating experience that celebrates the soul of Italian culture, cuisine and craftsmanship. It’s about offering our guests something truly personal, immersive and unforgettable.”

VIVA UNIQUE is designed to blend contemporary aesthetics with the charm and spirit of Italian Dolce Vita, offering guests a refined and immersive experience. Onboard, guests will enjoy three distinct dining venues. Guests can indulge in the Italian inspired fine dining restaurant MOMENTS, where seasonal ingredients and creative flair meet in an atmosphere of understated elegance. For those seeking a more casual dining experience, VIVA’s Trattoria will offer Mediterranean dishes in a relaxed setting. The main Riverside restaurant is also an option for guests to indulge in international gourmet cuisine and regional specialties all served with panoramic riverside views.

Accommodations aboard VIVA UNIQUE are equally impressive. As with VIVA BEYOND – VIVA Cruises’ first VIVA Boutique ship launching next year – more than half of the cabins of VIVA UNIQUE are suites, including the newly introduced Unique Suites that offer up to 323 square feet of space. The ship also features a spacious wellness area, a modern fitness room and a sun deck with a pool that offers panoramic views of the Venetian Lagoon and the picturesque towns along the iconic Po River.
Guests will benefit from a range of exclusive services tailored to their cabin category. Those staying in Twin Cabins and Junior Suites will receive a VIVA Boutique gift, enjoy a themed excursion and benefit from complimentary laundry service. Suite guests will be welcomed with priority embarkation, an aperitif and access to airport transfers from Venice.

For those in Unique Suites, the experience is elevated further with in-suite breakfast, seasonal culinary treats, priority dining reservations, special Unique Suite experience and an aperitif with the captain and hotel manager.

All itineraries will also feature VIVA Cruises’ signature VIVA All-Inclusive product that includes high tea, full board, high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, minibar, beauty products, Wi-Fi and all tips and gratuities.
